The Barn is located on the edge of the Forest of Dean, known for its beautiful walks and many attractions including the Dean Forest Railway, Perrygrove Railway, Puzzlewood, Taurus Crafts and many others.
Chepstow is just 5 miles away, with its quaint shops, view over the River Wye and, of course, Chepstow Castle which dominates the skyline. In the summer outdoor plays are held in the evenings in the grounds of the Castle.
Puzzlewood is a strange and eerie and wonderful place to visit, just a few miles from Colne Brook Barn. It has been used in many films and TV programs including the latest Star Wars movie, Merlin, Atlantis, The Huntsman and Jack the Giant Slayer. A must for any film buff!
Just 15 minutes drive (or taxi ride) from Chepstow Racecourse and Conference Centre, holding national hunt and flat race days and entertainment events. Just 27 miles from Cheltenham Racecourse - home of The Gold Cup. Take a train from Lydney to Cheltenham where buses are provided to the race course on race days.

5 mins drive from Colne Brook Barn is Bathurst Pool, which is open during the summer. In Lydney (7 mins drive) you will find Whitecroft Leisure Centre, boasting an indoor pool, gym facilities, tennis courts etc.

Attractions include Brunel's first Steam Ship, the SS Great Britain, the Bristol Suspension Bridge and Temple Meads Station. Visit Bristol Old Vic Theatre or visit many of the historic sites in and around the City. For the shoppers there is the impressive Cabot Circus boasting many designer shops, a cinema complex and plenty of places eat
